Founded by the remarkable Mama Connie Chiume, our Foundation continues to honor her legacy and uphold the values she instilled in us. In March 2024, during our strategic planning session, we reaffirmed our commitment to the mandate she left us, embracing a vision that celebrates culture, community, and creativity.
Our Goals for 2025
This year, we have outlined several key objectives aimed at enriching the lives of those we serve and ensuring Mama Connie’s contributions to the arts are recognized and preserved:
1. Finalizing Key Partnerships
We are thrilled to announce that the Connie Chiume Foundation has signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with strategic partners. This collaboration will enable us to implement a series of innovative programs and projects that reflect Mama Connie’s passions, particularly in arts education and cultural preservation.
These initiatives will include workshops led by renowned artists, mentorship programs for aspiring creators, and exhibitions that showcase the rich heritage of our communities. The aim is to create sustainable pathways for artistic expression and to ensure that Mama Connie’s legacy continues to inspire future generations.
2. Community Engagement
Reaching more communities remains at the heart of our mission.
This year, we are expanding our development programs in townships and rural areas, ensuring that the benefits of our initiatives touch as many lives as possible.
