Theresa Vivian Moila is an accomplished social work professional with extensive experience in management, education, and consultancy. With over three decades of experience in the field, she has held various positions in academia and the public sector. Theresa’s work experience includes being a Part-time Lecturer, Social Worker, Project Assistant, Regional Manager, and Portfolio Manager, among others.
Theresa’s journey began as an Assistant Field Instructor at the Department of Social Work at the University of Limpopo. Since then, she has served in various roles in the social work and education sectors. She has also worked as a consultant at the Small Business Development department in Gauteng Province. Theresa has also taught part-time at various institutions, including the University of Johannesburg and the Regenesis School of Public Management.
Theresa has held management positions in the Department of Welfare and Population Development in the Benoni region and the Department of Public Service and Administration. She also served as a Portfolio Manager for Education and Women, Youth, and Women Portfolio at the Transnet Foundation: Corporate Social Investment.
Currently, Theresa is the CEO of AREEES Power Solutions. Her experience in management, education, and consultancy has contributed to her success in the social work field. Theresa Elvin Moila has been an active member of various organizations since 1989, advocating for social change and community development. With over three decades of experience, she has contributed significantly to the social welfare sector in South Africa. Her community involvement spans various roles, including youth coordinator, national council member, trustee, and committee member.
Theresa has been involved in numerous organizations, including SABSWA, the Jomo Sono Foundation, the Northern Transvaal Gospel Music Association, and the National Children’s Rights Committee, to name a few. She has also served as a volunteer at the AIDS Center in Polokwane and acted as an advisor to various cultural and youth clubs.
Apart from her community involvement, Theresa has also contributed to research projects, including methods of assessing prisoners and gender-sensitive crime prevention strategies in South Africa. Additionally, she has mentored hundreds of young individuals, helping them become successful in their respective fields. With her vast experience and passion for community development, Theresa Elvin Moila is an ideal candidate for the position of director at the Connie Chiume Foundation.
