Connie Chiume has an extensive career in theatre, performing in several plays such as Sola, Porgy and Bess, Little Shops of Horror, Mzumba, Somdaka, Coon Carnivals, Iphi Ntombi, and Wathintha Abafazi. Her performances have been staged in numerous international countries, such as Israel, Greece, Great Britain, the USA, New Zealand, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

Connie Chiume has appeared in numerous televised international and local productions, such as Izihlabathi Ziyaqgibana, Inkomedla Yodwa, Casebook, Masakeng, S’qud ‘Snice, Lebo Mathosa Story, and Mazinyo. Some of her achievements include being the Deputy President of Equity of Performing Arts Workers, the founder, and CEO of the Connie Chiume Foundation, the Co-founder of the Destiny Arts and Film Academy, a board member of the Treasure for Performing Arts Workers, and a volunteer for the Creative Workers Union of South Africa.
